A blog a day keeps the doctor away!

So, in my efforts to become a regular blogger, I am taking on the May Blog Challenge!! My friend and fellow blogger, Ashley (here's her blog!), thoughtfully tagged me in a post and extended this challenge to me and I have decided to accept!! The original challenge comes from a sweet little blog called, Story of My Life the Blog. You should check it out!

Basically, the goal is to blog EVERY day in May!! Say whhhhaatttt??? I'm doing this. I'm totally doing this. And what's even more fun is that there are assigned topics!!!

Here we go, May 1st. Let's do this!!!

Wednesday May 1 - Your life story in 250 words or less.........( I'm not sure that mine is exactly 250, but let's be real, this is definitely the abridged version, I AM 27 after all!!! That's a lot of life to tell!! :)

Let me break it down for you:
-          I was born and raised in Louisville, KY/southern Indiana. It's realllll charming, y'all.
-          I realized very young that I loved singing and that I wasn’t bad at it. I also realized that I was meant to become a Disney Princess. That's still in the works.
-          In high school I began attending the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville where I truly started to come out of my shell and feel comfortable. I also began an intense relationship with the world of musical theatre at that time.
-          At the age of 16, after a church service that I attended with my sister, I knew that God was calling me to devote my life to Him and not just go through the motions. Daily I am reminded of His grace and goodness and I pray that I never take either for granted.
-          I attended college at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA for Musical Theatre. It was one of the BEST times of my life where I made the most amazing and precious friends I could ever ask for and I could never fully express how grateful I am for them. I also got to do what I love and that was pretty amazing.
-          After college I struggled with knowing what God wanted me to do with my life. I felt certain that I was supposed to move to New York to pursue musical theatre, but after losing 3 of my precious family members in a 4 month period my entire perspective had changed. I felt God calling me stay right where I was.
-          So far, His plan has turned out pretty spectacularly: A year ago, I married God’s best for me at the church we met at, 11 years ago. Blows my mind.
-          Now we’re patiently awaiting God’s next step for us as a family, living and loving each day along the way.

And there you have it. The life and times of Brittany.  I think I have enough to write a memoir, right????

Until tomorrow!

- Brit
